Amazon has today introduced a new family member to it’s already existing Echo lineup. It’s called ‘Echo Show’. It features a large display with a touchscreen, speakers and of course, a camera.
The Echo Show can do everything that the already existing Echo lineup can do already, but it does it better! It features the voice activated Alexa search engine as before but it can now do other tricks too.
Thanks to the 5MP camera above the speaker, you can now talk to any of your loved ones, friends at any time.
Echo show also integrates a few music players including YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, TuneIn and iHeartRadio. The speaker is made by Dolby and is placed just below the display.
It features 8 microphones using the beam technology and it also features noise cancellation to help you be heard more easily.
We have to note that the voice and video calls are only available for devices that have the Alexa application as every call will be directed via the app.
As with the previous generations of Echo, you can still order food and products from Amazon by simple calling “Alexa …”.
Here’s a video that will help you get a better understanding of the new Echo Show:
The Amazon Echo Show is available for pre-order starting today for $229.99 in the US, £220 in the UK and €240 in Germany. All Echo Show products will be shipped on 28 June and will be available in two colours for now: black and white.
