In the past year we have heard rumors of the so called Nokia 9 flagship that would be released soon.

Well, it turns out that ‘soon’ might be sooner than you think. It also turns out that it might not be named “Nokia 9″ after all, rather Nokia 8.

The Nokia 8 is supposed to have the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 4/6GB RAM. Please note that the rumor also mentions that Nokia might not have a 4GB RAM model but only a single option with the 6GB RAM. It might be market dependent, we do not know for sure as of right now.

The display is apparently a 5.3” QHD (2560×1440) AMOLED display that all on its own suggests a flagship.

On the back, we should expect a dual-camera setup with the Zeiss branding. (Good ol’ friend is back and very much alive) Each of the sensors are supposed to be 13MP shooters with Autofocus being present at least on one of them. OIS and other information is not yet known but we’ll be sure to update you more on the specification details once we know more!

The Nokia 8 is going to run Android 7.1.1 out of the box. You should expect pretty much a stock Android device thanks to partnering up with Google, you should also expect timely updates – or at least in a more timely manner than other manufacturers – according to Nokia.

According to GSMArena and their past leaks information, we should expect four colour options to be available right on launch: Steel, Gold/Blue, Gold/Copper and Blue. The price is supposed to be around €600 or ~£527 and ~$688 (at the current currency rates).

According to the leaks, the Nokia 8 is supposed to be released on 31 July.

As always, take some of these information with a pinch of salt as these might not be 100% correct at the time of writing and might change as we get closer to the release day.
