Samsung and LG are fighting very closely to win the AMOLED manufacturing deals and this time, it seems like Samsung just won yet another one with Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi.

Xiaomi has set up an order or 1 million 6″ AMOLED displays that is said to be delivered by December. The number will increase to 2.2 million in January next year.

Xiaomi has apparently tried to get a deal with LG on 5.5″ flexible OLED displays, but the deal didn’t go through as LG fell behind and could only start production 3 months later than it was expected.

It’s worth mentioning that Xiaomi has already used such panels in their Mi Note 2 devices that was only 1080p at the time – this is said to increase up to QHD on future displays. The new Note devices from Xiaomi are expected to be equipped with them in the first round.
