We’ve reported just a few days ago that the Note 8 will be revealed on 23 August, however it wasn’t confirmed until now.
Today, Samsung has sent out invitations to to the press to their New York event that will be held on the 23 August.
The image clearly confirms the Galaxy Note 8 and of course the S-Pen.
As a quick recap, here’s what you can expect to have and see in the new Note device. We are certainly happy to see another new Note device after the Note 7’s fiasco.
The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to have a very similar if not identical design to the Galaxy S8/+ duo with the same 2:1 Infinity display.
It’s supposed to have slim bezels on both top and bottom and curved edges on each sides.
The new Note is expected to have the Snapdragon 835 chipset in the US and Exynos 8895 in Europe. Both versions should have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage with MicroSD card slot to expand it even more.
It’s also expected to have an IP68 certificate that would include Water and Dust resistance. The device should have metal frames and a glass back design.
The main difference from the Galaxy S8 duo would be the expected Dual-Camera setup on the back. The fingerprint sensor is expected to be at the same ‘awkward’ position right next to the dual-camera setup. Prepare to see some smudges on the lenses if it turns out to be true!
