Samsung was busy today unveiling their new home appliances and their new smart wearables including fitness trackers.
Samsung Gear Sport
The Samsung Gear Sport is the latest smartwatch from the entry category. It sports a sporty design (hence the name) and is rated for 5ATM resistance (50m depth of pressure) and MIL-STD-810G rating that means it’s resistant for salt, pool water, sand, dust, UV and a few more.
The front of the watch is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 while the build is from stainless steel.
The watch features a dual-core 1GHz processor with 758MB of RAM. The on-board storage is 4GB that helps you load some music onto your smartwatch without needing your phone to be with you for e.g.: a run. It has a heart rate sensor, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The battery is 300 mAh.
As it is the case with any Samsung made smartwatch, the Gear Sport runs TizenOS and is compatible with Samsung Galaxy devices, Android 4.4+ and iPhone 5 (IOS 9+) or later devices.

The Gear Fit 2 Pro is basically identical to the normal Fit 2. The difference is that the Pro version is MIL-STD-810G certified.
The watch sports a 1.5″ curved Super AMOLED display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It’s powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and has 512MB RAM with 4GB of on-board storage. The watch also has a heart rate sensor, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The battery is 200 mAh.
It will be available in both Small and Large sizes.

The latest addition is the wireless earbuds – the Gear IconX (2018). This is the second generation in case you aren’t aware.
The new IconX offers improved battery life (5h of Bluetooth streaming or 7h standalone mode or 4h of talk time) and additional functions.
Each of the earbud contains 4GB of storage as well as a 82 mAh battery. It weights only 8 grams, so make sure you don’t lose it. The sides of the new IconX also supports gesture controls such as: single/double/triple, swipe up/down and a few more. If you love Bixby, we have some great news. The IconX also has support for Samsung’s very own Assistant.
The charging case is smaller than it was on the last generation of IconX’s but it supports fast charging. The battery of the case is 340 mAh and can fully charge up your earbuds once from 0%.
