According to some new rumors, Samsung may return their ‘Mini’ devices in 2018 along with their new Galaxy S9 flagships.

Naming wise, it is rumored to be called ‘Mini’, the devices we haven’t seen for a few generations now.

According to the claims, the new ‘Mini’ could be equipped with a 5.2″ curved screen (similar to the one on the S8 and hopefully the new Samsung mid-rangers) and the same 18:9 aspect ratio.

Fun fact: Samsung hasn’t released a so called “Mini” device since the Galaxy S5 series – Credits to AndroidPit

It’s notable to mention that, according to the sources, the new Galaxy S9 Mini would be similar to Sony’s Compact series – that is, how high-end they are. That’s right, the new S9 Mini is supposedly a high-end device, as opposed with other Mini called devices that were made in the past, they were all mid-ranger a high-end lookalikes.

Hopefully that’s about to change and Samsung could offer a somewhat ‘compact’ high-end device that’s Sony’s been doing for years, while maintaining all of the key features, specs and design that it offers for their full-sized high-end Galaxy series.

What are your thoughts on this, would you like to see a return of a new Galaxy S Mini device? Mainly, would you consider purchasing one with high-end specs? Let us know in the comments below!
