Google has released the Oreo based Android Wear beta back in October, it took them two months to finalise the software and finally start the roll-out.

The new update has started rolling out from 7 December, so make sure to check your smartwatch if you already have it.

The announcement came from an Android Wear Developer confirming the new update.

The image above is from the person confirming the update, and it shares a few improvements that you may get excited for.

However, there are no words on what devices and when those devices will get the update. I personally can confirm that I have not received anything yet on my LG Watch Style as of 9 December. (Still on Nougat 7.1.1). The post however confirms the usual fact that the update will take as long as it takes for the manufacturer – that’s not much help unfortunately, but let’s hope that it will come early.
