Motorola, or should we say, Lenovo has always been in the news due to their leaked information about their upcoming devices. Today is no different – 4 devices have just leaked in a lot of detail with promo images alongside them.

Motorola Moto X5

Motorola_Moto_X5

The X5 is probably going to look familiar – strangely! Take a closer look at the image and you’ll quickly realise what we mean. It has an iPhone X like notch on the top – but that’s not all!

What’s also strange looking is the navigation buttons – they’re missing. It seems like the Moto X5 might opt-in for the iPhone X’s gesture based navigation bar too.

One more thing is that the X5 may not even have a fingerprint sensor, at this point it’s hard to tell if Motorola went all Apple and included either a FaceID like technology or perhaps uses the newly announced in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The rest of the specs are fairly decent. The X5 will have a 5.9″ screen with 18:9 aspect and 2160 x 1080 resolution. We’re not yet sure how this will work out with the notifications, but it might be similar to the Essential phone – no difference, just some minor changes.

There are no words on what it will be powered by, but we’d say it’s one of Qualcomm’s mid-range chipset, likely coupled with 3GB of RAM and likely 32GB of expandable storage.

It will seemingly also have a dual camera setup on the back and on the front. Notice that the branding on the front does not say “Moto” anymore, instead it says “Motorola”.

Motorola Moto G6 and G6 Plus

The G6 will have a 5.7″ FHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display. The G6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s 450 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of expandable storage. The G series will now have a 3D glass back and will have a dual 12MP+5MP rear shooter setup. The selfie shooter on the front is expected to be 16MP.

The normal G6 will come with 3000 mAh battery.

The G6 Plus will have a slightly larger 5.9″ FHD+ display with the same 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset with likely 4/6GB RAM options and likely 32/64GB storage options.

The fingerprint scanner is nowhere to be found on the new G series, but it seems like it won’t have a notch or a software button (iPhone X style) on the bottom, instead it’ll opt for the usual setup we’ve seen for years. The G6 Plus will come with 3200 mAh.

Motorola Moto G6 Play

The screen of the G6 Play will be 5.7″ at HD resolution. It’s 2018 already, 720p displays should really not be used at this stage at a screen size that big – Listen up Lenovo/Motorola!

The G6 Play will have a 4000 mAh battery, so that should last you well more than a day.

The fingerprint sensor can and will be found on all of the G series, fortunately.

The G6 will be available in Black, Silver and Gold colour variants, while the G6 Plus sibling will come in Deep Indigo, Nimbus and Dark Lake variants. The G6 Play will come in hues of Dark Charcoal, Gold and Deep Blue.

Price wise, the G6 is expected to cost about $240 in the US, while the G6 Plus is expected to go for $330.
