Just a few days ago we have summarised all of the information about LG’s new upcoming flagship device – the LG G7 ThinQ.
Luckily for us, @evleaks is hard at work and he has provided us a fresh new photo of the upcoming smartphone.
As you can see, there aren’t many changes from our previously reported and summarised article about the LG G7 ThinQ, however it’s great to finally see the full picture without any loss of detail. We now have seen the G7 in 2 colours options – Grey and Black.
You might want to read more about what to expect to find in the LG G7 ThinQ in our previously shared article.
But let’s talk about the notch. In our article, we have talked about how much we would like to see an option that could hide the notch – so for people like us – we could easily hide that ugly black bar in the middle, as for others – they could leave it on if they’d prefer it that way. Having options to choose from are great!
According to a recently leaked image, the LG G7 will have that feature baked-in, meaning that you’ll even be able to customise it to a few certain levels that we are really happy to see.
As you can see on the image, the G7 will allow you to enable/disable the notch, as well as to set virtual rounded corners to the non-existing bezels on top of the display.
There also seems to be an option to enable the background colour of the top status bar – we’re not quite sure how that could work out – but we sure are interested to see it in action.
It’s also interesting to see that the top, black status bar’s option is called “New Second Screen”. Maybe LG has adopted the LG V20’s second screen features into the status bar? Well, we’re keen to find out!
Also, don’t forget that the G7 is expected to have an IPS LCD display, so the Blacks will not be true black – when for example compared to an AMOLED display – but it will certainly be usable.
