OnePlus’ new “flagship killer” should be out in a month or two assuming that the company follows it’s suite of releasing phones around June and July.

The new phone from OnePlus should be numbered 5 opposing the rumours of number 4. What’s the reason for that; you may ask. Well, the reason is very simple. Number 4 is kind of like number 13 in the west, it means bad luck in most Asian countries.

So, now that we got the number out of the way, let’s talk about specifications.

We can expect to see the OnePlus 5 equipped with the latest and greatest hardware and software.

The phone is supposed to be 7mm thick, metal unibody while maintaining a fairly large 3000mAh battery.

So, specifications: It’s going to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6 or 8GB of RAM.

The display is going to keep it’s large size at 5.5″ and feature a Dual-Curved Amoled QHD screen, much like what we have seen on Samsung’s latest devices.

The fingerprint sensor is going to be placed on the front of the device, but we are unsure if the under-the-display technology is ready yet and if OnePlus will be one of the first companies to be using it. Otherwise, it should be placed just below the screen and not function as a button but more like a sensor with different functions, gesture options.

Storage wise the device should come with 128GB and 256GB storage options. We have not yet heard any rumours mentioning anything lower than that.

The back of the device will hold a 23MP dual-camera setup and have similar features to the iPhone, at least that’s what we’re assuming right now. It might also feature a wide-angle sensor that would let you take similar wide-angle shots to the LG G6.
