Xiaomi has unveiled their much talked about Mi Mix 2s – which is basically an upgraded Mi Mix 2. There aren’t a lot of design changes, but it has an all-new inside with a lot of enhancements and improvements over its predecessor.

The Mi Mix 2s comes with a 5.9″ 18:9 aspect ratio FHD+ IPS display with 2.5D curved glass edges on top of all. Luckily, this screen doesn’t have a notch, instead it keeps the selfie shooter on the bottom right corner of the device – which is a 5MP f/2.0 aperture sensor.

It’s powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and has 3 variants available: 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Sadly there is no SD card slot to be found. The colour options are black and white as of today, but Xiaomi may release one or two more colours in the coming months – you never know.

Other features include Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, NFC and a dual-SIM port. The Mix 2s is also one of the first devices to support QI wireless charging – and it might also be the world’s first ceramic device to sport it. Sadly though – there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack or any IP ratings to be found.

On the back, there are a dual 12MP camera setup with OIS and all the goodies you might expect – the regular is a f/1.8 aperture while the secondary if a telephoto f/2.4 sensor. It also has a Dual Pixel technology (like Samsung’s devices) that promises fast and very accurate focus. It’s worth noting that the camera has also received an impressive 101 rating by DXO.

The battery is 3400 mAh and supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0, so it should allow anyone to top-up their devices in a reasonable time.

The Mi Mix 2S price is as follows

CNY 3599 ($530)
CNY 3299 ($575)
CNY 3999 ($640)

If you order the most expensive version, you’ll also receive a free wireless charger with your package. The sales of the Mi Mix 2s will start in April.
